Serviced Accommodation

Serviced Accommodation (sometimes known as temporary accommodation) is used by busy professionals or tourists preferring to stay in their own private apartment rather than a hotel. If you are relocating to the UK, you may need some short-term accommodation when you first arrive, and serviced accommodation is a great solution.

A serviced accommodation flat or house can provide you with normally much larger accommodation and privacy than a hotel room. You can choose anything from a studio through to a 4-bedroom apartment.

These are usually based near main transport links and have local amenities including shops and restaurants within close walking distance. Apartments can usually be rented from one night up to 12 months. Serviced apartments offer facilities much like a traditional hotel but with added space and privacy and costs such as Wi-Fi, utilities and housekeeping are included in the rent.

We check with our analysis what lifestyle you are looking for and what can provide you with that extra. This can mean integral restaurants, gyms and meeting spaces for informal meet ups and business meetings.

Citrus Relocation can provide advice on locations and apartments through our wide network of serviced accommodation providers.  We will work with your budget to source a property that works for you and your need. We normally take a day to produce three high quality properties for our relocation clients.

You will need to pay for the agreed property, normally up front so you can have the keys. A few operators may bill you after you have moved into the property. We will normally obtain up to three quotes for you or an employee.

The quotes would normally include links to photographs and a description of the property. It is not normal to view properties beforehand as they may be occupied with the resident moving out before your due date. It is fast moving and once you receive a quote The property may be put on hold for 24hrs. You may have no more than 24hrs before the property is released again to the general market.

Citrus receives availability of many properties over the UK every week, we still have to check for our relocation clients the availability of properties and if possible, negotiate a reduction in rates as standard.

Once you complete the application form and paid the rental fees. You are free to move into the property on the agreed date. It is normal the property is professionally cleaned, and repairs undertaken if required before you move into the property. A welcome pack is normally provided with local amenities, emergency numbers, maps and guides and a service provider to meet and greet you in person. There may also be milk, tea, coffee cereals, fruit, bread, butter and jams in the fridge available as part of the welcome pack.

Even with the Coronavirus, many serviced apartments are available throughout the UK and we are happy to help you find a luxury apartment or house, the process is self-check-in so at the present time you would not meet an agent when moving into a property. Keys are available via a Keysafe which you will receive a code.
