The Rental Search Process
Our rental search is designed to support you every step of the way and help you find your new rental home in the UK with as little stress as possible. The process is as follows:
You will complete a relocation questionnaire so Citrus can fully understand your moving requirements. Communication to discuss relocation rental requirements can also take place by Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp or by Phone
A Citrus Relocation Consultant in the UK will have an in-depth telephone discussion before the employee leaves for the UK to discuss the moving processes
Prior to your accompanied or unaccompanied (Covid-19) secure visit, a search is done to identify the properties which match your requirements. This is normally done one or two days before the date of the viewings. This is to minimise the risk of fall out of properties before viewing.
On the allocated viewing day, a Citrus Relocation appointed consultant will go on an accompanied visit to all available properties normally ten to twelve properties subject to budget and availability. Your viewings are subject to government guidelines for Covid-19 and our current understanding of the risks.
Once you have found a property and would like to proceed with securing that property, Citrus will negotiate the terms of the lease and the rental amount directly with the agent or landlord.
Citrus will then put forward a verbal and written offer on your behalf, to ensure the property is secured and to reduce the risk of misunderstanding between yourself and the landlord and their agents.
Our dedicated Citrus Relocation administration staff will provide ongoing support with the tenancy application process, lease negotiation, arranging utilities, local taxes and clarifying your rental agreement.
